About the specialist

Gulzhan Kanybekovna Zhalieva is an obstetrician-gynaecologist and reproductive medicine specialist with twenty years of experience and a doctorate in medical sciences. She sees patients at the Ankalife IVF centre in Bishkek and also works as an obstetrician-gynaecologist at the ChOOB maternity hospital.

She is a board member of the Kyrgyz Association of Obstetricians, Gynaecologists and Neonatologists and a national trainer in effective perinatal technologies. She authored the clinical guides “Endometriosis” (Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, 2020) and “Postpartum Haemorrhage” (2022), and has published on pregnancy management after IVF with donor oocytes.

She is a co-author of Kyrgyz Ministry of Health clinical protocols (safe abortion, cervical precancer, induction of labour), of the professional standard for obstetrician-gynaecologists (2023) and of competency catalogues for the specialty. She has taken part in clinical research on perinatal care and cervical screening.
